Your advisory fee covers personalized itinerary design, reservations, pre-departure planning, and support throughout your travels. Planning fees are separate from the cost of travel and reflect the expertise, relationships, and personal advocacy your BTA travel advisor brings to every journey.

Questions
How much does BTA charge to plan a trip?
BTA travel planning fees range from $50 to $100 per day of travel, depending on your trip and the level of support you prefer. We will help you choose the service level that best fits your needs. Hotel only bookings are complimentary.
What does the BTA travel advisory fee cover?
BTA's travel advisory fee covers the research, expertise, recommendations, and coordination involved in planning and supporting your trip. Clients choose from Silver, Gold, or Concierge service levels, with services ranging from custom itinerary design and travel recommendations to enhanced concierge services and support while traveling. Services vary by level. Airfare planning and booking are not included.
Is the planning fee refundable?
No. BTA travel planning and advisory fees are nonrefundable. Your fee allows your advisor to dedicate the time, research, and expertise needed to begin thoughtfully planning your journey.
What is the difference between Silver and Gold travel planning?
Silver is ideal for travelers who want expert itinerary planning, thoughtful recommendations, and support along the way. Gold offers a more hands on experience, with additional concierge coordination and enhanced support before and during your travels.
Does BTA book flights?
Yes. BTA can research and book airfare as an additional service, with fees ranging from $100 to $150 per person depending on the level of support required. Airfare services are separate from our standard travel planning fees and are available as part of a full service itinerary.
Are VIP hotel amenities available when booking with BTA?
Yes. When BTA books an eligible hotel through Virtuoso or one of our preferred hotel partner programs, clients may receive VIP amenities and preferred benefits such as daily breakfast for two, hotel credits, priority for room upgrades, early check-in, and late check-out. Benefits vary by hotel, program, room category, and stay dates. Upgrades, early check-in, and late check-out are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
